GET TO KNOW ME

After twenty-plus years of experience in the service sector, I have recently completed a BS in Geography from the University of Oregon with a focus on Geographic Information Science and Geospatial Technology. I am productive, independently capable, and eager to reenter the workforce to utilize my comprehensive and diverse experience in a professional setting. I strongly value cultivating an inclusive professional environment, sustainable and ethical business practices, and community-oriented engagements.

Currently, I am compiling a geodatabase of the Willamette River Confluence in partnership with the University of Oregon and the McKenzie River Trust. Through various projects, including working with the former Site Manager, I have gained proficiency in GPS tagging booth corners and QGIS for remote sensing classifications, accurate georeferencing, and efficient spatial analysis. My passion lies in site and facilities management, safety, ecologic restoration, and permaculture. My recent studies in remote sensing, UAV mapping, LiDAR, and cartography have led to close relationships with instructors at the U of O and I possess a deep understanding of the physical processes of the earth, including climatology, geomorphology, and biogeography. In my previous roles, I have managed staff and teams, handled sales and cost controls, and managed POS and CRM system front-end operations. I am skilled in community outreach and public relations, and I have a track record of hiring and training professional and hard-working employees and volunteers. Additionally, I have undergone diversity and equity training.

My skills in clear communication, positive attitude, and flexibility are invaluable attributes to any workplace. I offer diligence, stamina, effective communication, efficient organization, and endless willingness to learn and grow as a professional and as a human being.
